There are some businesses that take advantage of everything regardless of legality, morality, and ethicality. I don’t mind entrepreneurship, in fact, I encourage it since I am a strong believer of capitalism. But, to use the Co-Op’s free parking for your own benefit that’s something shameful.
I had my car washed and waxed. I did a rookie’s mistake by parking under a tree. Apparently, there was a “crap fiesta” performing in the tree which resulted in dropping bombs more than Normandy. What a way to start an evening.
Without any introduction, here is my list of the top annoying people in facebook:
1- “I’m telling you everything about my life”: Those people broadcast every single useless detail of their lives. “going to work” “came home” “sleeping” “woke up” “eating” “shopping”. It doesn’t mean that because I am your friend I need to know all these useless things about your life. I’ll be a good friend and tell you: NOBODY CARES!!!
2- Constant Game Invitations: I get more that 10 invitations everyday to join games, and they keep coming by the same people everyday. I think I was sure a year ago when you when you first invited me, I know that I wasn’t interested six months ago. I’m sure I wasn’t interested last week. I’m pretty much sure I’ not interested today to join. Darn, I swear I’m not going to join forever.
3- Game Achievements Broadcasters: I get annoyed when I see the news feed filled with people broadcasting about their game achievements and game helps. “help (….) find the lost bird” and ” (….) got highest score in level 4″ Seriously, get a life. I don’t care, and most us don’t either. I know for a fact that we don’t give a boloney too.
4- People who keep commenting on their own status … solely
This is my own list, would you like to share yours?
While I was withdrawing from NBK’s drive thru ATMs I saw this ad. This phenomenon annoys me a lot. Those people do not have manners at all. They use public and private property, without consent, to advertise for their personal services and\or offers. The next time I see one, I will personally erase the phone number on the ad.
I was asked by a very dear friend to try this restaurant. I delayed my visit several time until yesterday when I convinced myself it’s about time to go and try it. What to lose? This restaurant serves on the concept of healthy food. It can be seen, with the freshly made dishes, it even doesn’t sell soft drinks !!! It’s located beside Dasman Complex in Sharq.
It was a very bad experience for me. The waitress got mad at me for a simple statement I made. I asked her how long is the philli steak sandwich that costs about KD 3.300 she told me about this size (The size of palm) I was shocked! only that for KD 3.300? That’s a rip off. I guess she took it personal.
Just by sitting down, you are served with wonderful 2 types of bread and a side sauce of butter and tomato (I guess)
I ordered garlic bread. It’s kind of long bread but very light. The taste of garlic is very light and the amount of cheese is barely minimum
Chicken pizza was alright. I thought it would be better. I expected an actual pizza, or at least a piece of it. Not a piece of bread with this stuff on it.
lasagna bolognese was good. The meat was great. I liked the idea of replacing the usual tomato sauce with this orangish sauce.
I have posted this, a while ago, and I am reposting it again (modified) for the 20th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion:
First, I thank Allah for the liberation of Kuwait. I would like to thank all of you who have helped us during the invasion, from the Arab World: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Somalia, Djibouti. I would also like to thank the Allies: U.S, U.K, France, and the the rest of the world who we do not forget your help. This is a debt on us that we will pay back some day.
Today is the 20th anniversary for The Iraqi invasion (and occupation) of Kuwait. Unfortunately, people have forgotten this especial day and what it represents. We (as Kuwaitis) should remember in this days our beloved brothers and sisters who sacrificed their lives for the love of this country. We should also remember our friends and enemies. I bet that most people have forgotten that many of the arab countries were against us and those are (besides Iraq): Palestine, Yemen, Jordan, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Mauritania. If you have doubts in my words, you can watch what these countries vote for (give it a while to load):
And not to forget what the palestinians did to us during the invasion, they always betray those who open their hands for them. They are a disloyal people and unfaithful, I cannot forget how they revealed the places of the Kuwaiti soldiers, ministers, and public figures.
and this is the opinion of a palestinian living in Kuwait
This restaurant is new only opened in Kuwait (in Fintas) I heard a lot about it, and thought I should give it a try.
When you order your burger you have the option to choose some of the fillings.
Once you order, the host/cashier will shout out your order (this is n every branch in every country). And then the order will be replied by the working staff behind the host/cashier
The burger was alright. I expected it to be better. The onion rings were average, but I liked their so called “Fat Fries”
Their chocolate shake tastes like “lulu” ice cream. A bit over priced, it’s like john travolta in pulp fiction; “Did you just order a 5 dollar shake? That’s a shake! That’s milk and ice cream…That’s 5 dollars, you don’t put bourbon in it or nothing?…just checking”
By the way, I forgot to mention that the staff are extremely friendly. Greeting me constantly, and even brought my order to the table. wow!
